Portland, OR–June 21, 2006–Stonebridge Life Insurance Company, a member the AEGON Group, of one of the world's largest insurance organizations, announced today it has selected Portland’s Overland Agency to create a new rich-media-driven website to launch its latest term life insurance offering.

Stonebridge Life, with more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, selected the Portland firm from a list of interactive agency candidates who answered an RFP in May, said Rebecca Lioumis of Stonebridge Life. “Essential to our selection of an interactive agency,” said Lioumis, “was finding one that could show an understanding of our industry, as well as outline a straightforward website that educates and is accessible to the average person. Overland was able to show those capabilities, as well as include a robust menu of possible technical innovations that we may choose to implement further down the road.”

Arve Overland, CEO and Executive Creative Director of the Overland Agency, said his firm was able to point to former web experience with the insurance industry, including having previously worked with another member of the AEGON Group, but does not think past relationships influenced his company’s selection. “It was a very tight selection process in the end, and I think we won the work because we were tireless and passionate about thinking through the online solution that Stonebridge Life needed, and in hitting the target on strategy and creative. We never get complacent about those things, but treat every job as a unique opportunity to do something new and powerful online,” Overland said.
