(NYSE: VOL) is a 59-year-old, renowned Six Sigma provider of workforce solutions that, over the decades grew exponentially to embrace more than 15 other companies providing data management, IT infrastructure and support, telecommunications support, outsourcing solutions, customer care and directory printing. This publicly traded Fortune 1,000 company is now trusted by clients in some 55 countries.<br /><br /><strong>Challenge: </strong><br />Volt came to the Overland Agency with the challenge of consolidating their large number of companies — often seen as disparate business units — into one powerful and seamless “umbrella brand” website. The site needed to be useful for a slate of global stakeholders, including clients (individuals and companies), business partners, the media, investors, and internal professionals.<br /><br /><strong>Solution: </strong><br />To build a robust solution for Volt first meant, in the Discovery Phase, that our team would crisscross the U.S., and do telephone hookups worldwide, in some 30 interviews with executives and other stakeholders in the company, and among customers and vendor partners. Next, we created a rock-solid Information Architecture, Wireframes and User Experience Design that ensured intuitive sense of and easy access to the wide world of Volt in the online realm. Finally, we applied our creative and coding talents to the site’s actual build. We had to be sure that the delivered site fairly reflected the broad offerings, stakeholder needs, and outstanding quality of solutions represented by the entirety of Volt Information Sciences (the parent) company.  <br /><br /><strong>Result: </strong><br />Now, more than ever, customers, clients, partners, the media, investors, and Volt-internal employees have a website that shows the broad spectrum of offerings that this business leader offers to so many company verticals around the world. And, because it is built on Overland’s simple-to-maintain Content Management System (CMS), www.volt.com is updated frequently to stay abreast of the active business engagement of a global company with thousands of employees and hundreds of high-profile clients.<br /><br />]]></description>
