Overland Launches New adidas iPhone App 9.22.09
Portland, OR – September 22, 2009 – Today, leading West Coast digital shop the Overland Agency announced the launch of a new iPhone application for adidas. The application serves up localized deals on adidas products at more than 70 of the sports apparel brand’s signature outlet stores across the United States. The easy-to-use application is available for free download from the Apple iTunes application store, a familiar destination for iPhone users.

“Not only do fans of adidas know instantly when there’s a new promotion offered at the adidas Outlet Store nearest them,” said Arve Overland, CEO + Executive Creative Director of the Overland Agency, “if they’re traveling, they can simply punch any zip code into their iPhone app profile and see what regional-specific deals may be available — as well as nationwide savings opportunities.”

Overland said that the new app lets users find any adidas Outlet Store quickly in any state, access Google Maps to find a location, and make a one-click call to the store if the user wants to phone ahead.

Brit Obstar, Sr. Marketing Manger for the adidas Retail Outlet Division said, “One of the great features of our new iPhone app is that people can just bring their mobile device to the cash register and the coupons available in the application are scannable, right on the phone. Nobody has to print anything out, or use paper, so it’s user friendly and more environmentally conscious.” Obstar said that adidas plans on frequently updating coupons for iPhone users, and that some of the coupons may be used multiple times, increasing shoppers’ saving options.
