Overland Agency Developing Groundbreaking iPhone Application 5.29.09
Application takes couponing to new level in fashionable brick-and-mortar stores

Portland, Ore. — May 29, 2009 — Leading West Coast interactive and branding firm, the Overland Agency, announced today it is building a groundbreaking iPhone application for a popular international brand to drive sales in the company’s stores, according to Jiro Feingold, Engineering + IT Director of the Overland Agency. The Overland Agency is an officially registered developer of iPhone applications.

The latest Overland application will take a new spin on store couponing that will include general offers, special geo-targeted promotions, and some “secret sauce” functionalities that should be highly entertaining and rewarding for consumers, Feingold said.

He added that all of Overland’s work on the application is being tested and verified against the forthcoming 3.0 operating system that Apple will launch with its new iPhones in the near, but not-yet-disclosed future. The application will also, of course, be backward compatible with earlier iPhones, Feingold added.

“We’re in the building process on the application now, set for a September launch,” he said.
