Client:

Award-winning Welch Allyn is a global manufacturer of medical diagnostic equipment that helps frontline practitioners work more effectively and efficiently with their patients. Renowned for innovation in electro-optical technology, Welch Allyn franchises in acute and primary care markets include family practice, pediatrics and OB/GYN, inpatient care, internal medicine, and emergency medicine.

Challenge:
To showcase the features of their new Clinician Notifier software—a wireless application that lets frontline practitioners remotely manage patients on their PDAs—Welch Allyn needed a compelling interactive demonstration for their sales force. This demo had to speak to the specific needs of clinicians, medical IT professionals, risk managers, and hospital administrators—including accurate, real-time patient waveform monitoring (electrocardiogram readings), role-specific information, status alarms, communication with staff, data storage, and patient privacy.

Solution:
Impressed by the Overland Agency’s portfolio of award-winning interactive for high-tech clients, Welch Allyn hired Overland to create a dynamic demo that would easily communicate their software’s time- and cost-saving capabilities. Overland built a first-in-industry, Flash-based product demonstration that Welch Allyn’s sales force can use on the road, at trade shows, and on their website. The demo lets viewers select a task or scenario, and then launches a step-by-step animation of completing the task or objective. Professionals can also select their roles and immediately see the features and benefits of role-specific tools. Everything from technical specifications to implementing the platform into one’s workflow was provided in the Flash piece.

Result:
Welch Allyn now has an engaging, differentiating sales tool that soundly demonstrates the Clinician Notifier’s value to varied medical professionals. The demo is in keeping with their reputation for innovation in patient care technology, strongly reinforcing their brand, and is making a persuasive statement for its purchase.
