Oregon Memorials Case Study

Client:
Oregon Memorials (OM) is the Northwest’s oldest and largest provider of wholesale, custom granite, and marble memorials, columbaria, and public art installations. For over 60 years, this family-owned business has provided cemeteries and funeral homes fast, efficient service and award-winning designs.

Challenge:
OM wanted to expand its brand presence and be one of the first in the industry to drive business online. They wanted a better way to showcase their memorial products and their truly innovative, award-winning designs. They also wanted a way to allow cemeteries and funeral homes to design memorials for their customers online, and submit those designs to OM.

Solution:
Overland designed and built a unique, interactive website that gives funeral homes and cemeteries nationwide the ability to customize memorials online. The proprietary Memorial Builder on the custom website enables purchasers to design and preview memorial options before they place orders. The website also allows clients to explore a Flash-based columbaria section, detailing Oregon Memorials’ comprehensive, turnkey solutions.

Result:
The result is an innovative, website with an interactive Flash-based product demo that is visually alluring, unique to the industry, and allows customers to quickly see the value of Oregon Memorials’ products. The website is also a brand-building tool that positions the company as the leading wholesale provider and establishes a vehicle for forming partnerships with cemeteries and funeral homes to drive more business.

This project won:

  • 2007 B2B Ace Awards: Runner-up, Corporate/Brand Website
  • 2007 International Creativity Awards: Silver Award for B2B Website
