Campbell Pet Company, located in Vancouver, Washington, has manufactured and provided a broad range of pet products to animal care professionals for several decades. Based on years of experience and strong relationships with animal care providers, Campbell has successfully built a thriving wholesale business for their pet care products among tens of thousands of North American veterinarians and animal care professionals.

Challenge:
With the growth and expansion of its manufacturing and shipping facilities, Campbell knew the answer to growth was to offer their products to veterinarians and the general public online. They wanted a solution that could drive both their wholesale business with animal care professionals and consumers.

Solution:
The Overland Agency solution was to have Campbell offer to set up an Overland-built, template-based system for the easy opening of online retail stores for any veterinary clinics or other animal care professional clients. Overland created an exclusive online model that uses a universal web portal, in which veterinary professionals can create personalized branded web stores. The fulfillment and payment is centralized and handled by Campbell, giving animal hospitals a hassle-free (percentage-based) revenue source. Meanwhile, consumers may log into their own side of the Campbell online store to buy veterinarian-approved pet products.

Results:
Now, veterinarians and animal service agency professionals can sell online the same types of quality pet products they’ve bought from Campbell over the counter for more than 20 years. This new online model adds a strong e-commerce engine for consumer pet product sales, too, and adds to Campbell’s traditional business model. Sales are booming.
